APPENDIX: PARTIAL LIST OF THE SOEHARTO CLAN'S OVERSEAS ASSETS
----------------------------------------------------------------
United Kingdom:
-----------------------
Sigit Harjojudanto, owns two houses at:
-------------------------------------------------------
= 8 Winington Road, East Finchley
= ... Winington Road, East Finchley: 13 bedrooms; one of these houses is in
front of Sultan Hasanah Bolkiah's mansion.

Siti Hardiyanti Rukmana (Tutut) owns:
-------------------------------------------------------
= two luxurious apartments on Hyde Park Crescent, near Kensington Palace.

Siti Hediyati Haryadi (Titiek Prabowo) owns:
--------------------------------------------------------------
= a luxurious apartment behind the US Embassy at Grosvernor Square.

Probosutedjo owns:
---------------------------
= Norfolk House, 38A Putney Hill, London SW15/6 AQ: three stories with
basement, worth between 1-2 million Poundsterling. The caretaker of this
property is Hamid Syaab, an Indonesian embassy staff, who stays in that
house with some Indonesian students who receive their scholarship from
Probosutedjo. Probosutedjo also stays in that house when he comes for
recreation (as a tennis player and owner of the Mercu Buana tennis club, he
likes to watch the Wimbledon tournament, which is only three subway
stations away), or for his business trips, accompanied by his confidant,
Tri Widodo. He also often treats journalists and pro-Suharto Muslim
activists, such as Lukman Harun, the former chairperson of the Muhammadiyah
Youth Organization, by inviting them to stay for a certain period in this
house of his, covering all their expenses, including airfares from/to
Jakarta. Other cronies of Suharto who have been guests in that house are
the children of (Ret.) General Edi Nalapraya, former commander of the
Jakarta army division and a co-shareholder in

According to Probosutedjo, he bought this property between 1973 and 1974
for 93,000 pounds and is now worth more than one million pounds. According
to a second source, the property was bought for only 13,000 pounds, and is
indeed now worth around one million pounds. Then, according to a third
source, the property was already valued at 1.3 million pounds, but
Probosutedjo does not want to sell it unless it can earn him 1.5 million
pounds.

Tommy Suharto (or Sigit Harjojudanto) owns:
-----------------------------------------------------------------
= golf course outside London. According to one source, Tommy bought the
old, worn-out golf course through a public offering (tender), while
according to another source, it was Sigit Harjojudanto who bought the golf
course, recently, when the Indonesian currency (rupiah) was at its lowest
to the Western currencies.

United States of America:
-----------------------------------
Siti Hardiyanti Rukmana (Tutut) owns the following two houses in
Massachussets which are inhabited by her son, Dandy N. Rukmana and her
daughter, Danti I. Rukmana, and Danty's own baby (father unknown):
--------------------------------
= 60 Hubbard Road, Weston, MA 02193 (since July 1995): this property is
valued at over US$ 2 million. It is held in the name of a trust which is
overseen by a Boston lawyer named Mr. Willard McGraw. Weston is about 20
miles from Boston in the suburbs settled in the 1960s. It is a posh place.
= 337 Bishops Forest Drive, Waltham, MA 02154 (since February 1992): this
property is valued at US$ 352,000 and is listed under the name of a woman
named Cheryl L. Davis. Waltham is about five miles from downtown Boston or
three miles from Harvard Square in Cambridge.

Sudwikatmono (Suharto's cousin) owns two houses in California (CA) at:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
--
= 605 N. Hillcrest Drive, Beverly Hills, CA 90210: the owner listed for
this property is C. Elliott Fitzgerald, who bought it on February 7, 1998
from Meya T. Fitzgerald. This change of ownership seems to be very recent,
namely after Suharto stepped down from presidency on May 21, 1998. The
house itself has been known by Indonesians in Los Angeles as Sudwikatmono's
property since the late 1980s, since three of Sudwikatmono's siblings
stayed in that house during their tertiary education at colleges in the
L.A. area. This first house of the Sudwikatmonos is now rented out.

= 701 N. Hillcrest Drive, Beverly Hills, CA 90210: the owner listed for
this property is Hillcrest Inc., or listed on another document as New
Hillcrest Inc., with its mailing address on 650 Town Center Drive # 6,
Costa Mesa, CA 92626. This property is valued at US$ 4,929,718. It appears
that New Hillcrest Inc. bought this property on August 8, 1994 from
Prestige Investment Company. This second house of the Sudwikatmonos is
still being used by them, and the Lamborghini jeep of Sudwikatmono's only
son, Agus Lasmono, is often parked at this house. Its daily inhabitants --
or prisoners! -- are two Indonesian housekeepers, who are not allowed to
leave the house since their presence has not been reported to the US
Immigration and Labor offices. There are two phones in this property,
namely (310) 550-8604 in the living room, and (310) 550-060, which is in
Sudwikatmono's bedroom.

A further search for Hillcrest Inc. under the Secretary of State filings
revealed that it is affiliated with Indohillcrest and Edward B. Djang. Mr.
Djang has many business entities in the U.S. So far, the name does not ring
a bell for me.

Sudwikatmono also owns a condominium in Hawaii (HI) under his own name at:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
= 5333-290 Likini St. PH, with a mailing address at 1188 Bishop Street, Ste
2703, Honolulu, HI 96813: according to computerized tax assessors
information in the US, this property appears to have been purchased in May
1985 for US$ 216,400. It is currently assessed at US$ 253,000.

Bambang Trihatmodjo, Suharto's second son, and his wife, Halimah Agustina
B.T.. own the following luxurious condominium in Century Citry, neighboring
Beverly Hills:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
= Apartment No. 316 at 2142 Century Park Lane, CA 90067, bought on February
24, 1992, for US$ 825,000. The mailing address of this property is 1055
Wilshire Boulevard, # 1880, which is popularly known as "the Indonesian
office" and has officially two names, namely: "HBE California Pacific
Design" and "American Asian Properties", run by an Indonesian couple, Han
and Evie Moeljadi, phone no (213) 481-0567. They themselves have two
properties under their name, namely Apartment No. 216 in the same building
with Bambang & Halimah's apartment, and a property on 13414 Edgebrook Road,
La Mirada, CA 90638.

= Other apartments/condominiums in the same Century Park Lane building,
associated with Bambang are:
------------------
= Apart. No. 408, under the name of Rosano Barack and Sadlah, which was
bought on June 14, 1991 for US$ 960,000, and has the same mailing address
as the one above. Rosano Barack, or popularly known as "Cano", is a former
school mate of Bambang and co-shareholder of his main business group,
Bimantara;

= Apart. No. 208, under the name of Rositah Gozali, which was bought on
October 1, 1991 for US$ 859,000, and has the same mailing address as above.
Rositah Gozali is most likely a relative of Boyke Gozali, CEO of the
Ometraco Group, an Indonesian business conglomerate closely linked with
Bimantara and Bambang personally in several joint ventures in huge property
projects in Jakarta (Grand Hyatt Hotel & adjacent Plaza Indonesia shopping
mall; Block M shopping mall) and Bali (Bali Turtle Island Development
project) and in several poultry and poultry feed companies;

Other companies associated with Bambang which own properties in the
vicinities are:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
= Future Tree Investment Ltd.: this company is listed as having also bought
the same apartment as Bambang's No. 316 apartment at 2142 Century Park
Lane on July 29, 1992 for US$ 820,000, and has the same mailing address on
1055 Wilshire Boulevard # 1880. In addition, the same company bought Apt.
No. 103 in the same Century Park Lane building on April 11, 1991 for US$
581,000, as well as another property on 1708 Clear View Drive in Beverly
Hills on September 1, 1992 for US$ 650,000. Then, with a slightly different
name, namely Future Tree Investment Ltd. North USA, it bought a property on
1021 Cove Way, also in Beverly Hills, on September 27, 1993 for an
incredibly low price of US$ 50,000. Obviously, this warrants further
investigation!

= Rajawali USA Inc.: this company is most probably a US subsidiary of the
Rajawali Group, a conglomerate directed by Peter Sondakh which is closely
associated with Bambang Trihatmodjo as well as with Boyke Gozali's Ometraco
Group. Under the same mailing address as all the properties mentioned
earlier, this company is listed as having bought a property on 2846 Deep
Canyon Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90210 (Beverly Hills?) on February 28, 1991
for US$ 2,000,000. It was also involved in purchasing an undisclosed
property on November 15, 1993 for US$ 23,500,000. Again, this warrants
further investigation!

Bambang Trihatmodjo, according to my sources in Beverly Hills and in
Jakarta, has also obtained a luxurious condominium in the gated community
of Beverly Park. The purchase was carried out by executives of the Ometraco
Group. This information correlates with information from the property
records which showed the earlier mentioned Bambang connections, namely that
two lots (33 and 50) in Beverly Park were purchased on August 31, 1992 for
US$ 2,300,000 and US$ 2,100,000, while the earlier sales prices on January
29, 1988 were exactly the same, namely US$ 23,500,000. A third lot (62) was
purchased on October 15, 1993 for US$ 1,500,000, while its earlier sales
price, also on January 29, 1988, was also US$ 23,500,000. The buyers of
these three lots on Beverly Park were only known by their "company" names,
Lot 33 Beverly Venture Inc, Lot 50 Beverly Venture Inc, and Lot 32 Beverly
Park Inc. So, this really deserves further investigation by observing the
actual properties and by interviewing Mr. and Mrs. Moeljadi.

Administration, and Titiek, Prabowo's wife. Thereby Prabowo obviously also
has a house under his or Tirtamas' name in Amman.

Suriname:
---------------
Raden Notosoewito, Suharto's stepbrother from Kemusuk Village, Bantul
County, Yogyakarta, is the head of the Kemusuk Somenggalan Foundation
(Yayasan Kemusuk Somenggalan). This foundation is the holder of the stocks
of PT Mitra Usaha Sejati Abadi (MUSA), holding company of a conglomerate
which owns various businesses in Indonesia, Singapore, Hongkong, and
Suriname.

In Suriname, MUSA has obtained concession of 150,000 hectares of forests at
the Apura District, western Suriname, an investment of US$ 1.5 billion.
This concession, and MUSA Group's practice purchasing wood from outside the
concession area, have been attacked by environmentalist worldwide. Besides
the damaging environmental and cultural effects on the Amerindian Maroon
tribe, their method in obtaining these concessions are also under
attention, the 'high-level diplomacy' between Suharto, whom as the leader
of the Non-Aligned Movement at that time, with Suriname ministers of
Javanese ethnicity, especially the Social Minister Willy Sumita. This
high-level displomacy, where $ 9 million of bribe money allegedly exchanged
hands to the
politicians is known there as "The Indonesian Connection." One of the
approaches of the Kemusuk Somenggalan Foundation, which operates out of the
Indonesian Embassy in Paramaribo, is to offer help in renovating the
Suriname Presidential Palace. This project
was proposed to be developed by a company under MUSA itself.

Asia - Pacific and Europe:
--------------------------
Sudwikatmono is a minority shareholder (10%) in the transnational First
Pacific Group, based in Hong Kong and lead by a professional manager from
the Philippines, Manuel Pangilinan. The property division of this TNC is
called First Pacific Davies, which owns hundreds of branch offices
in the Asia-Pacific region, and is the owner/manager of million dollars
worth of real estates. Starting on October 1, 1998, this company changed
its name to FPD Savills, after purchasing a minority share of the British
property consulting company, Weatherall Green & Smith (WGS).

Although Sudwikatmono is only a minority shareholder, with FPD's assetts of
US$ 5.2 billion in 1995, with the stock price in the Hong Kong stock
exchange of over US$ 3.3 billiob, this company with property of over 45,000
employees in 40 countries is like a very productive milking cow for the
Suharto family.

With the formation of a new joint venture with WGS, FPD Savills has new
branch offices in Frankfurt, Berlin, Dusseldorf, Muenchen, Essen, Madrid
and Paris, and expansion plans to the Netherlands, Italy, Swiss, Greece,
Ireland, Sweden, Denmark, and Finland is at hand.

Conclusion:
-----------

This list only covers a fraction of the wealth of the Suharto family, in
the form of houses, hunting areas, luxury cruisers, and property companies
and tanker companies that are completely or partially owned by the family
of the former third richest head of state in the world, according to Forbes
Magazine. This does not include their shares in hundreds of companies
abroad.

If the Habibie Administration is sincere in trying to solve the basic foods
problem for the peasants, and in investigating Soeharto's ill-gotten wealth
and trying him for corruption and human rights violations during his
32-year rule, then Habibie should strongly persuade all those host
governments to confiscate, sell and repatriate all the wealths of the
Indonesian people which have been amassed by the Suharto family and their
cronies.
